This presentation provides an overview of recent trends in fatal and non-fatal overdose data in Nevada, with a focus on Washoe County and Northern Nevada.

Dr. Taylor Lensch is the Associate Director of the Larson Institute for Health Impact and Equity at the University of Nevada, Reno’s School of Public Health. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Health with a specialization in Epidemiology and an MPH from the same institution. Dr. Lensch’s research focuses on the impact of childhood adversity on youth health behaviors, emphasizing resilience and protective factors. He has co-authored several publications, including studies on marijuana use among high school students and the buffering effects of family communication on adverse childhood experiences.
