The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) is transitioning CARA Plans of Care submissions from OpenBeds to Smartsheet. Beginning August 1, 2026, hospital staff who submit or oversee CARA Plans of Care will be expected to use Smartsheet for submissions.
DPBH will host a virtual training to provide guidance on the new Smartsheet process and support a smooth transition. Staff involved in submitting or overseeing CARA Plans of Care are encouraged to attend.

The training will be recorded and distributed afterward for staff who are unable to attend.
OpenBeds will remain accessible through August 31, 2026, to provide temporary support if staff encounter issues during the transition that cannot be resolved in a timely manner. Staff are encouraged to begin using Smartsheet promptly on August 1, 2026, to help ensure a successful transition.
