Dr. Julie Cope DNP APRN PMHNP FNP has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2016, and Registered Nurse since 2006. Her philosophy is that the client best understands how to improve their health and wellness, and her role is to guide and assist. She has extensive experience treating mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD/Attention Deficit Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD/Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and SUD/Substance Use Disorder in adults, elders, children and teens. She also has extensive experience managing chronic medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems, and heart disease. As a Nurse Practitioner she has worked with rural and underserved populations, including the Shoshone-Paiute Tribe, the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, and the Indian Health Service in Utah.
She graduated from Brigham Young University in 2016 with a Masters of Science in Nursing, and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner Fall 2016. She graduated from University of Nevada, Reno in Spring 2023 with a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner, as well as completion of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
She lives with her husband in Winnemucca, Nevada, and enjoys hiking with her dog. She is the best Auntie to her many nieces and nephews.
