Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder for Pregnant Patients 

This 8-hour, online course, from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), provides the education that is essential for providers to identify, assess, diagnose, and manage pregnant and postpartum patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). The curriculum for this course has been specifically designed for healthcare providers in the lens of harm reduction. It covers all medications and treatments for OUD and provides the education needed to prescribe buprenorphine and other medications to treat Opioid Use Disorder. 

The target audience for this introductory activity includes Physicians, Pediatricians, Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associates, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Students, and Certified Nurse Midwives seeking to treat opioid use disorder and prescribe buprenorphine in an office-based setting. All members of the healthcare team are encouraged to take the course.
