Operation Recovery: Support for Veterans and Their Loved Ones Facing Opioid Addiction

A new resource available to veterans and their families in Nevada.

Operation Recovery: Veterans & Family is a program offered by Vitality Unlimited and funded by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services Preventing and Reducing Opioid Use Disorder (PROUD) program. The program provides treatment and support services for individuals affected by opioid use disorder, including veterans and their loved ones.

Who Is Eligible

Operation Recovery is available to:

  • Individuals who have served in the military, regardless of discharge status
  • Spouses, parents, and children of veterans who are experiencing opioid use disorder

This broad eligibility helps ensure that both veterans and their families can access support when opioid use disorder affects their household. Vet

Services Available

Through Operation Recovery, eligible individuals may receive a range of treatment and recovery services, including:

  • Substance use disorder assessments
  • Individual counseling for opioid use disorder
  • Mental health therapy for co-occurring conditions
  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • Assistance with MAT medication costs when needed
  • Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), when appropriate Vetr Grant Flyer email

These services are provided through Vitality Unlimited’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs).

Support for Veterans Living in Housing Programs

Vitality Unlimited also operates veteran housing in Sun Valley. While housing itself is not funded through this grant, residents may still receive eligible opioid use disorder treatment services onsite through Operation Recovery.
