National Night Out

National Night Out is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. Each year on the first Tuesday of August, communities across the country come together with local law enforcement, first responders, and community organizations for free, family-friendly events that strengthen neighborhood connections and help build safer, more connected communities.

Eighteen Nevada communities are participating this year: Carlin, Crescent Valley, Elko, Ely, Eureka, Fallon, Gardnerville, Henderson, Las Vegas, Laughlin, Lovelock, Minden, North Las Vegas, Pahrump, Reno, Sparks, West Wendover, and Winnemucca.

Find the event nearest you and join your neighbors for an evening of connection, safety, and community resources. Most Nevada events take place on Tuesday, August 4, though a few communities, including the Las Vegas area, hold theirs on the first Tuesday of October. Check with your local police or sheriff’s office to confirm the date, time, and location closest to you.

Together, we are making communities safer, more caring places to live.
