Join the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra and Music4Life® for a free workshop exploring how music can support emotional well-being and mental health. Led by nationally recognized music therapist, TEDx speaker, and author Judith Pinkerton, this interactive session introduces 30 therapeutic music-based activities designed to help participants navigate stress, trauma, and tough conversations.
This workshop explores how music listening habits impact the brain and behavior—especially in the context of mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention. Participants will use Judith’s Key2MEE music app and receive a manual and card set based on her curriculum, 6 Habits of Music Medicine for Highly Empowered People.
Key questions explored:
- How do six goals transform habits?
- What music contributes to suicide?
- Where does mood music work the best?
- When does music influence the body?
- Why is an Emotional Profile essential?
