Boundaries for Health Professionals

This is a private technical assistance event for Douglas County.

This training will provide health professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to establish and maintain professional boundaries. Boundaries are essential to creating a safe, respectful, and effective environment for both clients and professionals. This training covers the specific code of ethics for Community Health Workers and Peer Recovery Support Specialists as well as practical strategies for recognizing and managing boundary issues.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Differentiate between personal, professional, and ethical boundaries.
  2. Identify common boundary violations, both on the part of clients and professionals.
  3. Develop strategies to respond to boundary breaches in a constructive and professional manner.
