JTNN Overdose Awareness Day Event

Join Together Northern Nevada (JTNN) invites the community to a free event in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day 2026, carrying the theme “25 Years On. Still Needed.”

The event features keynote speaker Daniel Fred, Director of Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention (NRAP) at the University of Nevada, Reno, a person in long-term recovery, author, and recovery advocate, along with additional speakers from CrossRoads who will share stories of overcoming substance use challenges, healing, and finding hope.

The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony will lead “Grounding Together: Building Skills for Wellness,” an interactive session on grounding techniques for managing stress and supporting emotional well-being, and a digital photo collage will honor those lost to overdose, with photo submissions welcome by the deadline.

Quest Counseling will offer grief support in a compassionate space to reflect and heal, and lunch will be provided by The Life Change Center.
