This hands-on workshop is for the Fort McDermitt community, focusing on practical ways to prevent opioid overdoses, have open conversations about the risks of opioids, and provide long-term support for those in recovery. The session aims to strengthen families and empower the community to address opioid challenges together.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the importance of overdose education and naloxone distribution (OEND) to prevent opioid fatalities.
- Learn how to effectively talk to family and friends about opioids and overdose risks
- Explore available long-term recovery supports for individuals affected by opioid use disorder.
