SUMMARY:Nevada Black Maternal Health Week - Maternal Wellness Walk & Kinship Cookout
DESCRIPTION:Black Maternal Health Week is a national initiative to build awareness\, activism\, and community around Black maternal health in the US. Black women\, regardless of social or economic status\, are 2 to 3 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white\, Hispanic\, or Asian/Pacific Islander women. In Nevada\, overdose is a leading cause of these deaths. Stigma\, limited access to care\, and systemic inequities put Black women at higher risk. Nevada Black Maternal Health Week is a chance to raise awareness\, share resources\, and support families. \nJoin us this Saturday\, April 12\, 2025\, at Aliante Nature Discovery Park for a day of movement\, food\, and fellowship.
