DESCRIPTION:This webinar series aims to give attendees a current snapshot of Nevada’s behavioral health infrastructure\, plans\, funding\, and resources in anticipation of the 2025 session of the Nevada Legislature.\n  \nJoin the Nevada Public Health Association\, the Behavioral Health Association of Nevada\, and the Regional Behavioral Health Policy Boards on Monday\, January 13\, 2025 during the lunch hour for this edition of the Nevada Behavioral Health Pre-Legislative Session Webinar Series. \nStephanie Cook\, the State Opioid Treatment Authority (SOTA) and Chief of the Bureau of Behavioral Health Wellness and Prevention at the Nevada DHHS Division of Public and Behavioral Health\, will be guiding participants through the various funding streams\, their purpose\, their limitations\, and how these funds are utilized to address prevention\, treatment\, and recovery programs for persons misusing substances\, including opioids. \nSubsequent webinars on Wednesday\, January 15th\, and Friday\, January 17th will take a closer look at current programming and plans at the state level. \nThe purpose of this and other webinars included in this series is to give participants an understanding of current resources and projects related to Nevada’s behavioral health systems going into the legislative session. \nLearn more and register: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/nevada-bh-pre-legislative-session-webinar-series-3934713
